I’m sitting wondering how many of you like your steaks rare?
How many of you like your steaks rare? I love a rare steak but when it comes to my works I like them well done. When I stand before God I want hear WELL DONE, not medium done or rare…. That would kind of suck. In Matt 25:21 there is a little parable, here's a little bit of it "The master was full of praise. Well done my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities…" I love the part in this verse "well done my Good and faithful servant" who doesn't like a little bit of accolade every now and again… especially from your master, but the part that truly speaks to me is the next line "you have been faithful in handling this small amount so now I will give you many more responsibilities…" you see everyone, its not about what you have or what you don't have, its about what you do with what hand you are given. I encourage you to take an inventory of what God has invested into your life, look at what skills you have if your good at making funny videos then make funny videos, if you can fix my car then fix my car … because I sure cant… don't look at your friend and wish you had their skills, Jealousy will keep you from using your gifts. What ever it is that the Lord has given you, use it to glorify Christ. In Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father." In other words whatever you do, do it to and for God. Have you ever heard the song that goes "this little light of mine, I'm gunna let it shine"? That little light is what God has invested into your life that little light is Christ in you it's everything that He has done for you. "All the while giving thanks through him to God the Father" see you must also give thanks and praise to the Lord for the things he has done. You will not be given anything more if you are not thankful. You won't get a promotion if you forget who you're doing it for. I want to do things as if I have to answer to Jesus himself, man that would change a lot of things in my life, if you were working for Jesus what would you do different, anything? Don't you think that the lord should get THE BEST from us? Now there is a difference between our best and THE BEST, and the Lord wants THE BEST. My best isn't good enough, that's why He gives us grace and mercy. You see we can't try to help God out, He doesn't need our help He needs our heart but not our help. He needs us to give the best to Him, all that we are, all that we have we must invest it back into the kingdom. I know this kind of jumps around a lot but when I read these verses it just opened my eyes. It showed me that it doesn't matter what gifts I have as long as I do it for the Lord and give Him the praise through out my life, because my life is not my own it's the Lord's, and when I become pliable in His hands I will hear "Well done my good and faithful servant."
